Cardano continues to scale its network, as it heads towards finalizing some of its pending projects. Very recently, Cardano highlighted some of its major network progress recorded before the close of March. As highlighted in its weekly development report from March 31st, Cardano has hit new milestones.
Per key statistics update, 119 projects have been launched on Cardano, while 1,221 projects are still being built on the network. Native tokens have soared to a staggering 8.06 million and 71,128 token policies have been enacted. Network transactions have notably outperformed, going up to a total of 63.9 million as of March 31st. Plutus scripts have also increased to 7,546 and over 2,000 of the scripts are for Plutus’s second version (V2).
Meanwhile, the test framework on the network has increased as more automated tests have been carried out. node v.1.35.5 and v.1.35.6 releases were also tested. Tests were also run on the branch with the UTXO-HD functionality.
Progress has also been made on the DB Sync, as the Texan worked to enhance issues on providing new db-sync options, as well as the bug and technical debit fixing.
Concerning wallets and services, the network reveals that there has been ongoing work on lace desktop development. The blogpost read.
Work is ongoing on the Lace desktop development. The team fixed some issues related to decentralized exchanges (DEXs) interacting with the DApp browser, and made dark mode UI improvements by loading a spinner and scroll bars. They also added a generic CIP-30 error page for DApp interaction.
The Hydra team made significant progress in March
For smart contracts, the Marlowe runtime starter kit and documentation has been updated. A new basic theory around asset preservation was also created. It adjusted the default logging configuration for each component, and wrote golden tests for protocol messages.
A download function for detailed view of the Marlowe contract in Marlowe Explorer was also included. The Hydra team can also boast of significant progress following its recently held workshop. The blogpost noted:

The Hydra team held a workshop and used the hydraw demo application during the March monthly review meeting to demonstrate Hydra heads running on mainnet. While this marks an important milestone, the team emphasized that more features will be added to enable applications to run using the Hydra Head protocol. The team also cleaned up the roadmap providing more space for user requests, and encouraged the use of community discussions.
