Angel City FC (ACFC) proudly unveils its second series of NFTs in collaboration with Crypto.com. Building on the success of their initial NFT series, which captivated fans and garnered over 20,000 redemptions, ACFC and Crypto.com are poised to spark enthusiasm once more with the “We Are L.A.” NFT Collection.
This collection embodies ACFC’s 2023 season theme, a tribute to the rich tapestry of cultures and identities spread across Los Angeles. Initiating the program is the “Represent LA” NFT, a visual representation of the message that the diverse elements of LA, united by city and county borders, contribute to the city’s remarkable character.
Supporting Local Talent and Fostering Community Connections
The “We Are L.A.” NFT Collection features three NFTs created by local photographers from Las Fotos Project, who took part in the ACFC x Crypto.com Artist in Residence program.
These three gifted, BIPOC teen artists gained invaluable paid professional experience capturing ACFC’s home matches during the 2022 season. They assembled their photographs into a commemorative photobook presented to members of La Fortaleza, a coalition of ACFC’s six supporter groups.
On April 14, leaders from all six groups had the chance to engage directly with the Artists in Residence during a panel discussion. At the program’s conclusion, each artist chose one image to convert into their debut NFT.
These NFTs will be released in July, August, and November, and will be available in common, rare, and ultra-rare editions. This initiative is an extension of ACFC’s 10% giveback model, where 10% of every partnership directly benefits the community.
Members of the Angel City FC NFT community will receive exclusive perks, such as on-field experiences, autographed jerseys, merchandise packages, and much more. In addition, they will also have the opportunity to learn about each artist and their creative vision through ACFC’s social channels and website.
ACFC founder and president Julie Uhrman expressed her thoughts on the collection: “The We Are LA NFT Collection is the ultimate digital representation of what Angel City has set out to accomplish as a club—to use sport as a driver for community engagement and development and to elevate the game on and off the field”.
She also emphasized the exceptional live and virtual events hosted by Crypto.com through their partnership, as well as the fans’ positive reception to the previous collection.

In celebration of the team’s second season, ACFC is offering fans the chance to acquire the first NFT in this collection for free by signing up for an account on the Crypto.com NFT Marketplace during the week-long sign-up period, beginning April 24 at 12 p.m. PT.
Existing Crypto.com NFT Marketplace users will receive a link to claim the “Represent LA” NFT. The NFT will be distributed via airdrop between May 2-5.
Upon redemption, the team will communicate directly with eligible NFT holders to grant access to exclusive digital items and invitations to virtual and in-person events throughout the season.
