This weekend, two bastions of modern era rock music will go head-to-head in a battle to the top of the UK music charts. However, Noel Gallagher’s ‘High Flying Birds’ have an ace up their sleeve as they look to topple the mighty Foo Fighters. In order to gain an edge over the prolific song merchants, they will launch an NFT version of their album, ‘Council Skies.’
Debuting on June 8, ahead of the weekend’s count up, fans can purchase a digital pressing of the new album, a feat made possible by cutting edge Web3 music platform, Serenade. Through the drop, collectors will not only gain a high-quality digital copy of the album, but also signed and colored limited-edition artwork, exclusive access to the Council Skies docuseries, and a digitally signed lyric sheet.

Two Rock Icons Go Head-to-Head in the Music Charts
The drop marks a pivotal period in one of the closest chart battles in recent times, with both bands separated by only a tiny margin. As it stands, the Foo Fighters currently hold a slender lead of approximately 500 units, with streaming figures still yet to be counted.
Noel Gallagher and his current band, High Flying Birds, have chosen the opportune moment to embark on a pivot into Web3. As such, only one day remains for sales to qualify for the final count up, and the NFT release could make all the difference!
