Over in the world of practical fashion, sports apparel firm, Adidas, has announced a bold collaboration with iconic Japanese clothing brand, A Bathing Ape (BAPE). Joining forces, these two powerhouses of the fashion realm will launch an NFT ‘Fresh Forum’ pass that will unlock a pair of physical sneakers partnered with a stylish digital twin.
All in all, the mighty partnership will spawn 100 pairs of the Fresh Forum sneakers in celebration of BAPE’s 30th anniversary. As a result, folks far and wide can acquire the initial access pass in an ‘open-to-all’ 72-hour auction commencing at 4pm CET on August 22. Each item will kick off with a 0.3 ETH minimum bid via the Adidas Collect website, with the crypto averse able to participate thanks to a new partnership with Moonpay.
In addition, BAPE and Adidas will reward holders of their previous SOLES ALT[ER] EGO and (B)APETAVERSE NFTs with a 10% boost to their bidding power. Once in possession owners will then have the ability to trade their assets without restrictions.

Important Dates in the Adidas x Bape Collaboration
As mentioned earlier, the initial auction for the Fresh Forum access pass will run from August 22 to August 25. However, after the initial sale, holders will need to keep an eye on the calendar in order to get the most out of their stylish assets. As such, the redemption period where owners can claim their sneaker and its digital twin will begin on September 26. All before Adidas ships the physical item to anywhere in the world in October.
