‘Decentraland Art Week’ Seeks Talented 3D Artists

Decentraland is gearing up for its fifth annual “Decentraland Art Week” from March 26 to 29. Artists, game studios, design studios, and collaborations from around the world are invited to submit proposals for innovative 3D galleries.

The art week promises to captivate audiences with its array of 3D art galleries and site-specific exhibitions, providing a unique opportunity for artists and creators worldwide to showcase their talents.

Four selected proposals will receive significant rewards, including $1,500 USDT to fund the creation of their gallery and exhibition.

Another highlight includes giving creators a 4 x 4 LAND plot in the Plaza, enabling artists to express their creativity freely throughout the event and three months afterward.

Live Events in Digital Art Galleries

Decentraland is set to enhance the festival experience by encouraging creators to plan and host at least one live event within their galleries. Such events, ranging from 30 to 60 minutes, could include artist-led tours, Q&A sessions, or other interactive experiences that deepen engagement with the exhibitions.

Further enhancing creative possibilities, the initiative leverages Blender for 3D design and Decentraland’s SDK 7 with Typescript, enabling diverse creators to build interactive installations.

Proposals that creatively leverage Decentraland’s unique features, including Wearables and Emotes, pushing the boundaries of digital art, will be prioritized.

With the submission deadline set for January 28, and the announcement of selected proposals on February 5, creators are encouraged to submit their innovative ideas and be part of this celebration of virtual art in the Metaverse. Good luck!
