Shiba Inu [SHIB] has undoubtedly emerged as a prominent beacon of innovation in the crypto-verse. It has transcended its origins as a mere meme cryptocurrency and has established a multifaceted ecosystem. With a lot to look forward to, Shiba Inu has revealed its bold roadmap for 2024 and 2025 further signaling a new chapter in its evolution.
The marketing lead of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, Lucie took to X and shared a glimpse of what’s in store in the coming year. At the forefront of these updates sits ShibaSwap, the decentralized exchange [DEX] pivotal to the ecosystem’s functionality. She even went on to reveal 1.75 and 2.0 versions of ShibaSwap which is expected to roll out during the upcoming cycle.
ShibaSwap 1.75 spearheaded by lead developer Shytoshi Kusama will precede ShibaSwap 2.0. It aims to refine the DEX’s functionality and streamline trading for users. Alongside this, enhancements like Shiba Hub, an app are also slated for the introduction. It is described as “extraordinary” by developers. After getting integrated with Shibarium, Shiba Hub will likely serve as a point for resources and community interaction.

TREAT Token
An upcoming token, TREAT is scheduled to be launched soon within the ecosystem. It is expected to go live in 2024/2025. The asset will serve an array of functions. It incentivizes users who stake SHIB and acts as a governance for the upcoming Layer-3 blockchain solution.
Gaming
Play-to-earn [P2E] version of Shiba Eternity, which is a prominent collectible card game adds another layer of excitement. Beta testing for the P2E version will be available in Q2 2024.
Metaverse
Shiba Inu’s ambitions have extended into the metaverse as well. The “SHIB: The Metaverse” project, originally slated for 2023 is now scheduled to make a debut in 2024/2025. This immersive virtual experience promises to redefine community engagement within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
This wasn’t all. Shiba Inu will further welcome K9 Finance’s liquid staking derivative platform to Shibarium in 2024/2025. The introduction of Shiba Inu’s Layer-3 (L3) blockchain, was funded by a recent $12 million investment round. Set to launch on Shibarium’s L2 scaling solution, the L3 blockchain will debut its testnet in Q3 2024, heralding enhanced scalability and privacy features.
