Pioneering musician empowerment platform, Sound.xyz, has introduced a new interface optimized for mobile devices. In a tweet, the platform noted that it had added a new navigation and audio player specifically for those accessing the platform on the move. The new integrations are part of the Sound’s continued improvements to aid users and artists and boost adoption.

Sound was founded in 2021 to assist music artists in creating Web3 communities and monetizing their work through NFTs. So far, musicians have been able to earn almost $5 million through the platform. Among the core products on offer is the listening party, where creators can sell early access to new music as NFTs, allowing true fans to collect proof of being early supporters. In addition, they can interact with budding stars, share of the song royalties, and contribute to future projects.
With the new integration, users can navigate the platform with greater ease, create playlists and expand the “audio player to view the now playing screen.”
What Sound Hopes To Achieve
So far, Sound has proved essential for emerging artists who can tap into the platform to create a community and monetize their work. This ensures they are fairly compensated, as opposed to earning pennies per stream on traditional platforms.
From the start, the Sound has intended to help artists monetize their works in new ways. According to David Greenstein, CEO of Sound, its objective is to get music heard and artists paid. So far, the solution has proved popular, and is well on its way to revolutionizing the music industry.
