Grease Monkey Games, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands and the developer behind the acclaimed Torque Motorsports series, has collaborated with Konig, the legendary wheel brand. Together, they will launch innovative interoperable wheel NFTs for Torque Drift 2 and other Torque Motorsport franchise games. These groundbreaking NFTs will debut in the latter half of the year.

Torque Drift 2, an enthralling racing game offering an authentic drifting experience, integrates blockchain technology for genuine digital ownership. Torque Drift 2, the official Formula DRIFT blockchain game, will launch content and features on PC in 2023 and 2024, with console availability to follow, becoming an integral part of the REVV Motorsport Metaverse racing game ecosystem. It also aims to deliver realistic racing experiences to Web2 and Web3 gamers. Premium Keychain NFT holders can expect exclusive early access to Torque Drift 2 during the first half of 2023 before the public open beta release.
Konig, a wheel brand with over 40 years of history, has established itself as a global icon, shaping automotive tuning and consistently supporting car enthusiasts and the motorsport community. The company excels in manufacturing cast and forged wheels. The Konig team comprises passionate car enthusiasts who emphasize accurate data and feedback from sponsored race teams. The initial batch of Konig-licensed NFTs will feature eight coveted alloys, including the Hypergram, Dekagram, and Ampliform. This collection aims to appeal to both existing motorsport fans and those intrigued by NFTs.
The Konig-licensed NFTs for Torque Drift 2 will also be compatible with Torque Burnout and Torque Drift, earlier mobile games developed by Grease Monkey Games under the Torque Motorsport brand. Interoperability is a vital aspect of blockchain gaming, allowing players to own their assets and providing greater flexibility in asset usage.
More Gaming Developments To Come From Partnership Between Grease Monkey Games and Konig
