On March 9, Animoca Brands, the Hong Kong-based software company and venture capital firm, announced the launch of Club 3, a members-only club in Los Angeles, in collaboration with Planet Hollywood Group’s joint venture, Meta Hollywood. The “first of its kind private club reimagined exclusively for the Web3 community” aims to bridge the gap between real-world and virtual memberships. Expected to launch in Beta this year, ClubID is a new identity, membership, and commerce platform that Club 3 will leverage to power Meta Hollywood’s communities.
CLUB 3 will be integrated with #Web3 mechanics, such as community voting on seasonal menus or collaborative promotions for certain #NFT projects and membership holders.

The first Club 3 location will open on the iconic Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, in the second half of 2023. If successful, the group intends to expand globally, with locations in New York, Miami, Tokyo, London, Paris, and Hong Kong. Club 3’s upcoming 10,000-square-foot facility will offer diverse dining options with a unique ambiance, including a main dining room, a rooftop restaurant, and eclectic bars. The establishment will also feature meeting rooms, karaoke areas, and programmable spaces designed for virtual and in-person immersive events. These events include industry gatherings, community meetups, workshops, and Q&A sessions.
“CLUB 3 will foster and galvanize the broader Web3 community and serve as a launchpad for those wanting to learn more about this new world,” said Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands.
Adding a Touch of Class to the World of Web3
Club 3 is set to revolutionize the traditional club experience by integrating Web3 DAO mechanics. This feature will enable community voting on seasonal menus, perks, and promotions, giving members a say in the establishment’s offerings. To become a member of Club 3, collectors must first mint a Club 3 NFT, which provides membership in four tiers: Founding, Social, Global, and Corporate Memberships. The choice of tier depends on personal preference and desired experience.
Membership perks will vary based on the tier selected, with access to amenities such as a closed community chat for virtual meetings. Social and Founding Memberships require a one-time fee of $2,500 and $7,500, respectively. For a fee of US$1,500, members can upgrade their Club 3 membership to a Global Membership.
