The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) is celebrating an iconic milestone, the Ethereum-based NFT collection has just crossed the 1 million ETH trading volume mark. The incredible achievement comes exactly two years after the collection was launched by Yuga Labs, which has gone on to establish itself as a leading light within the nascent Web3 space.
BAYC crossed the 1 million ETH mark on April 15, and Since then has added another 11,131 ETH to the figure. According to data from CryptoSlam, the collection has grossed over $2.7 billion in all time sales as of press time. This ranks the collection second only to Axie Infinity, which boasts over $4.2 billion in sales. As a result, the new landmark solidifies BAYC’s position within the NFT space, especially considering that the collection is a few years younger compared to Axie.
