Crypto exchange Binance is fighting back against a lawsuit filed by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, arguing that the agency is overstepping its jurisdiction. The CFTC sued Binance in March for allegedly offering unregistered derivatives products and failing to register as a futures commissions merchant, designated contract market, or swap execution facility. Binance’s lawyers claim that some of the charges don’t meet legal requirements. The exchange is also facing a lawsuit from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
