A recent development has set the stage for the greatest memecoin battle between BONK and FLOKI. SHIB and DOGE are already locked in on a battle at the top, with SHIB gunning for DOGE’s top ten ranking. To accomplish this, the team behind the Shiba Inu project has been releasing a series of ecosystem developments, all in an effort to attract developers and users.
Binance has recently added USDC trading pairs for both BONK and FLOKI, potentially drawing investors to the tokens. With Binance boasting the largest trading volume and user base, this could be a major boost for the memecoins which will enjoy greater investor exposure. In the long term, this will drive investment into the memecoins and help boost prices.
At the time of writing, Solana’s BONK is trading for $0.00002799 after a 10% surge in the last 24 hours. With a market cap of a little over $1.8 billion, the token is ranked 68th on the market. After reaching its all-time high of $0.00004547 about three weeks ago, investors remain confident of revisiting this position and potentially marking a new high before the end of the year.
FLOKI, on the other hand, has enjoyed an even greater gain in the last 24 hours after surging by nearly 16% to trade at $0.0002635. With a market cap of over $2.5 billion, the token is ranked 54th in the crypto market. Launched a couple of years ago, the token reached its all-time high of $0.0003365 in 2021. Investors are optimistic about riding the bullish wave to this high and possibly establishing a new high before the end of the year.
FLOKI has seemingly taken a lead with its higher market cap, greater adoption, and early start that ensures it has garnered a greater reputation. However, Solana’s BONK has shown it has an edge that it can quickly catch up to. BONK can take inspiration from Shiba Inu, which has only in the past year built and rallied to rival Dogecoin. In fact, the project has recently gotten recognition from Ethereum’s Vitalik Buterin, as CNF reported.
Memecoins have recorded a standout performance in this bull market so far, and this is expected to continue. For FLOKI and BONK, the rivalry not only incentivizes respective investors but also offers a chance for memecoins to get recognition in the crypto market.
