Charles Hoskinson Creates “Hypothetical” Poll Asking If Cardano Should Integrate With Bitcoin Cash, 67% Of The Voters Support The Idea

A “hypothetical” X poll by Charles Hoskinson asking the crypto community if they’d like to see a Bitcoin Cash and Cardano integration has received 67.7% voting in favor of the idea.

“Would you like to see Bitcoin Cash become a Cardano Partnerchain upgraded with Useful Proof of Work Leios, NiPoPoWs, and Ergo tech,” Hoskinson asked in the poll. 

This potential collaboration could lead to “the fastest and most useful proof of work chain ever built,” the Cardano founder added. Many supported the idea, with the poll receiving 13,857 votes as of May 6, 2:20 a.m. EST.

Cardano And Bitcoin Cash Integration Details Unclear

Biggest Lab founder and CTO, Ben Scherrey, shared his support of the possible integration. “ I’ve always thought there was some natural synergy between the two chains [Cardano and Bitcoin Cash] given the shared utxo model that allows for high scalability and decentralization,” he said.

Despite the community support, how the integration between the two networks will happen remains unclear. Bitcoin Cash could become a “partnerchain,” as mentioned in Hoskinson’s post.

In this scenario, Bitcoin Cash would have to be bridged to the Cardano network in some way. Even if the technical aspects of the integrations are defined, developers and stakeholders would still have to reach consensus on the decision.

Charles Hoskinson Praises Upcoming Upgrades In Response To Bitboy Crypto Critic

Hoskinson’s poll comes as Cardano prepares for the launch of two major upgrades this year. This includes the “Chang” hard fork as well as a shift to a new proof of stake consensus model called Ouroboros Leios.

The pending upgrades were praised by Hoskinson in a response to an Apr. 7 video posted by influencer Ben Armstrong. In the video, Armstrong referred to Cardano as “dead.”
