Giant Card payment processor MasterCard established a partnership with Polygon (Matic) blockchain team.
MasterCard is a popular international Card payment processor platform, which is known for its multiple financial services. This company is headquartered in Purchase, New York. In 2006, this company became a publicly traded company. In the past couple of years, the company showed significant Inclination toward the Crypto & blockchain sector, to make its existing traditional payment platform better.
On 6 Jan 2023, Mastercard announced that the company established a partnership with Polygon (Matic), so that company can launch a Web3-focused incubator to help the music artists.
In an interview, the chief marketing and communications officer at Mastercard Raja Rajamannar said that collaboration will help the Web3-focused MasterCard’ program useful for music artists who want to appear in the digital music sector.
Raja further said:
“the artists will be guided on how to incorporate web3 into their work throughout the entire program and then beyond… We see that web3 holds tremendous promise for artists and creators to create, own and monetize their content.”
On the same day, the Polygon team stated that such efforts will help to empower the artists in the Web3 world to connect with audiences in unique ways.
Matic coin
Polygon is a popular Ethereum scaling blockchain network. Matic is a native coin on the Polygon blockchain network and the current price of Matic is $0.8, which is 3.23% higher than the last 24 hours’ trade price.
At present time, Polygon is standing at 10th position in the Crypto sector, in terms of 24 hours trade volume of Matic coin globally.
Ryan Wyatt is CEO of Polygon Studios, a subsidiary of the Polygon Crypto project. Ryan is the former global head of gaming partnerships at Google and head of gaming at YouTube. He also contributed in the many Augmented Reality (AR) focussed projects of the YouTube company with a better leadership quality.
