Now MetaMask users can easily use Stripe payment service to purchase crypto assets directly via MetaMask wallet.
MetaMask is a popular Ethereum wallet. This wallet was initially launched by ConsenSys for the Ethereum network. Because of the highly decentralized nature, MetaMask grabbed huge popularity in the crypto sector & later the ConsenSys firm added support for other leading crypto networks i.e Arbitrum (ARB), Optimism, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Polygon (Matic), Avalanche (Avax). Between Nov 2022 to Feb 2023, MetaMask faced huge criticism, as the company introduced a new customer data use policy, later ConsenSys retraced its decision.
On 11 Oct 2023, MetaMask announced that the company integrated the one-click fiat payment service Stripe in the MetaMask wallet.
This new fiat payment option will allow MetaMask users to purchase crypto assets with the help of 135+ fiat currencies and dozens of payment methods, on behalf of customers’ preferences.
MetaMask token
Following the success in the Crypto space, the MetaMask team decided to launch MetaMask’s native crypto token. This company planned a token launch idea a couple of years back.
In the initial phase of the MetaMask token plan, the company clearly said that they would not bring any crypto token without any proper use case.
As per reports, MetaMask will launch its native token after raising $450M in a series D round, and users can qualify for the airdrop by completing on-chain tasks and using Metamask’s all-in-one DeFi tap and bridge aggregator.
Here people need to understand that so far MetaMask failed to launch any token and all the other existing MetaMask tokens in the crypto space are fake, and not backed by MetaMask directly or indirectly.
In Jan of this year, the MetaMask team warned people to remain away from MetaMask address poisoning, a fake Crypto address similarly looking like your/another person’s address.
