Pixelcraft Studios has announced Geist, a new Ethereum Layer-3 gaming blockchain developed with the support of Arbitrum Orbit, Base, and Alchemy.
Geist is designed to address key challenges in the blockchain gaming industry, such as botting, multi-accounting, and ineffective reward distribution.
Through its unique membership model, Geist seeks to ensure that rewards are allocated exclusively to legitimate users, thereby improving the gaming experience within the Aavegotchi ecosystem.

Initially referred to as “Gotchichain” during its development, Geist is an Ethereum Layer-3 gaming chain built to support gaming applications, and offer features that cater to the unique needs of the web3 gaming community.
Geist stands out with its members-only model, limiting access to reward programs to invited users. This model aims to prevent exploitation by bots and multiple accounts, common challenges in open blockchain networks. Beyond its exclusive membership, Geist is integrated into the Aavegotchi ecosystem, functioning as the main blockchain for Aavegotchi-related games and applications.
Powered by the Arbitrum rollup stack and supported by Alchemy, Geist offers a robust infrastructure with developer tools like APIs and webhooks. The platform also features an on-chain NFT marketplace—the Aavegotchi Baazaar—which supports royalty payments.
Geist further provides easy onramps for $ETH and $GHST through Coinbase integrations, along with advanced transaction capabilities such as account abstraction and gasless relayers.
The Polter Testnet will launch ahead of the mainnet, allowing for thorough testing of the platform’s features and preparing members for Geist’s full rollout.

Invitations are primarily extended to Aavegotchi NFT holders during the initial rollout phase, and each invite grants access to the platform’s reward programs, including airdrops, giveaways, and special events.
To become a member, invited users must accept the invitation and complete the necessary steps to activate their membership.
For non-Aavegotchi NFT holders, additional opportunities to apply for membership will be available. Interested users can register on the Geist website and mint a commemorative NFT on Arbitrum or Base. However, membership is intentionally limited, and only a select few applicants will be accepted.
