Mythical Games, the creator behind NFL Rivals and Blankos Block Party, is developing a new mobile game featuring the popular Ethereum NFT brand Pudgy Penguins.
The game is slated for release in 2025 and will run on the Mythos Chain, a Polkadot-based gaming network, spearheaded by the studio.
The Pudgy Penguins mobile game will utilize the same game engine as Mythical Games’ Blankos Block Party, adapted for mobile platforms.

Pudgy Penguins Expands to Toys and Beyond
John Linden, CEO and Co-founder of Mythical Games, revealed that discussions with Pudgy Penguins CEO Luca Netz have been ongoing for nearly a year and this latest collaboration aims to leverage the success of the Pudgy Penguins brand in both NFTs and retail markets.
“Our experiences have fine-tuned our perspective on developing mainstream games and appealing to mainstream gamers, and we’re at a point where we are truly seeing more strong web3 use cases in mainstream games,” Liden stated.
Pudgy Penguins has expanded beyond NFTs to include physical products such as toys, available in major retailers like Walmart and Target. The brand’s web-based Pudgy World game, built on the Ethereum Layer-2 scaling network zkSync, will allow users to unlock NFT collectibles with these toy purchases that can be used in-game.
Linden expressed confidence in the partnership, further shared, “Adding Pudgy Penguins to the Foundation and being able to deliver a high-quality game experience with them should be incredibly valuable to their community, and also bring millions more players to Mythos.”
