Pudgy Penguins recent foray into the cutthroat world of children’s toys has caused a significant commotion on the Amazon marketplace. In its first 48 hours, the project triumphantly shifted a mammoth 20k units worth in the region of half a million USD.
Just last week, Pudgy Penguins unleashed its latest masterstroke on the world of toys and entertainment by debuting a collection of vinyl and plushie toys that leverage the project’s intellectual property. While additionally launching the interconnected ‘Pudgy World,’ a portal to an online social network based around the Antarctic dwelling creatures.
Since then, interest in the Pudgy Penguins toy collection has surged, with the original announcement bagging almost a million views. This figure was then backed up by a tremendous sales volume that for a brief moment topped the Amazon sales charts, beating the likes of Disney, Transformers, Barbie, and the greatest toy of them all, Lego.

Pudgy Penguins Toys Spark a Surge in NFT Sales
As the NFT world began to sit up and take notice of Pudgy Penguins’ bold new direction, the floor price of its collection also began to rise. As a result, seeing an increase of roughly 22% as of writing, going from an already impressive 4.85 ETH ($8,800) to an exceptional 5.95 ETH ($10,000) for the lowest priced NFT. While simultaneously experiencing a massive reduction in the number of tokens listed for sale, with only 2% of the 8,888 tokens currently available.
Despite all of the commotion, some have questioned the actions of the high flying NFT collection. Namely, marketing a product to children that automatically sets up a crypto wallet, then enables and encourages NFT trading. However, only time will tell if this will spearhead mass adoption, or sow mistrust in the NFT world.
