As Nike continues to dominate the headlines with its innovative .SWOOSH platform, a rival sneaker brand has Web3 designs of its own. Coming in hot, sports apparel giant, Puma, has announced a daring NFT collaboration with basketball superstar, LaMelo ball, and the infamous Gutter Cat Gang.
Through the amazing partnership, the incredible trio will launch a range of outlandish phygital sneakers. The result of their combined efforts will see the ‘MB.03 Guttermello’ collection arrive via OpenSea on June 29, with owners able to unlock a physical counterpart later in the year.
Those interested can purchase one of the technicolor tokens for a flat price of $175, payable in both ETH and by credit card. Once in possession, owners will have a limited timeframe during which to claim the physical sneaker, currently penciled in for July 18 – August 20.

Puma and LaMelo Ball Offer a Vibrant Homage to the Gutter Cat Gang
The sneakers themselves will hold no punches when it comes to it comes to their unconventional design. As a result, each sneaker will feature an outrageous and vibrant color scheme on top of a brazenly bizarre shoe, all adorned with a Gutter Cat Gang motif on the tongue.
Following the drop, Puma has hinted at further NFTs arriving later in the year that will incorporate additional partnerships. So, keep eyes on the rising star in phygital sports NFTs as it looks to gain a foothold in the burgeoning market.
