A prominent voice from the Shiba Inu team is raising hype around the asset thanks to the leak of an upcoming Shibarium airdrop. Lucie, the marketing lead for Shiba Inu, shared a post on Twitter (formerly X), announcing a forthcoming airdrop exclusively for users of Shibarium, the Layer 2 solution built on top of the Shiba Inu blockchain.
In the post, Lucie described a discussion with Buzz, the pseudonymous founder of the K9 Finance DAO, a Shibarium project. After saying the conversation went well and was productive, Lucie shared the news of the upcoming airdrop. “I’m excited to share some insights about the forthcoming Airdrop on #Shibarium,” Lucie wrote. “Yes, it’s coming! You’ll be able to earn points simply by bridging to Shibarium, using Shibarium, and holding specific tokens like LEASH and KNINE. Free tokens will be distributed to everyone involved, with the amount depending on your holdings and activities.”

K9 Finances’ Buzz Reveals More About Upcoming Shiba Inu Airdrop
In response to Lucie, Buzz clarified more information about the upcoming airdrop. “Yes indeed K9 DAO will be conducting a retroactive airdrop. Actions that will be rewarded include: holding length of time, bridging to Shibarium, testing K9 on testnet, staking KNINE, using dapps on Shibarium & more.” Buzz added that current activities by users are already being tracked to determine their eligibility for future rewards.
Additionally, according to Buzz, the airdrop is slated in the roadmap for Q4. The news of the airdrop generated hype around Shiba Inu on the daily charts. SHIB is up 5% as of press time, and volume in the past 24 hours is also up 92.91%. Furthermore, Shiba Inu is closing out May on a surge, and the airdrop news only adds to the hype.
