Now, BILLY looks like it could be the next in line. Earlier this week, the token reported having a market cap above $174 million. Moreover, that figure gives it the largest market cap for a token created by Pump. fun. The development reassures the increased competition of Solana-based tokens in the sector.

BILLY Surges to $170M Market Cap as it Keeps Rising
There is little argument against the overall trader interest in Solana meme coins. BONK is a great example, with the token surging as much as 25% in the last day. That has seen the token surpass WIF as the largest Solana meme coin by market cap.
Both tokens still represent two of the top five largest meme coins by market cap. They could soon be joined by another from the same network. Indeed, Solana’s Billy has become the latest meme coin to surge in value. The asset is up more than 52% in the last week, as it looks to compete.

The token was launched in June of this year. Shortly after, the token’s were sold by the developer, with the community taking over the project. All of the project’s social media accounts are controlled by that community, with the original developer completely absent.
Those tokens were sold just 20 minutes after BILLY was launched, SolScan data shows. That took place in one transaction, with the tokens offloaded for just $1,116. That amount of Billy would now be worth more than $6 million following its incredible rise. Time will tell if the token can follow other Solana meme coins, and continue rising over the next several weeks.
