The iconic DJ Steve Aoki is making waves with his eighth studio album ‘HiROQUEST 2: Double Helix’, officially dropping today. Additionally, an intriguing “collectors’ bundle” will be up for grabs on the NFT platform Kolex starting November 21.
Transcending the conventional album format via a range of innovative quests, fans can anticipate delving into the Kolex ecosystem to tune into exclusive Aoki tracks and collect 12 special-edition digital trading cards (four of which are ultra rare), an entertaining graphic novel, and official merchandise through non-fungible assets.

Unique HiROQUEST Journeys
Steve Aoki has crafted a variety of quests to build hype surrounding the album. The initial HiROQUEST journey first kickstarted at ‘ Collect-A-Con’ in Houston, Texas, on November 4. Event attendees were invited to immerse themselves in all things HiROQUEST, collecting virtual promotional cards (NFTs), admiring Aoki’s live performance, and meeting the musical talent himself.
On top of that, today, to celebrate the release of the studio album, all fans are invited to join Aoki and other community members to discuss HiROQUEST via the DJ’s official Discord channel at 1 pm (PT).
The excitement surrounding the album doesn’t end there. It continues to build at 1201 S Santa Fe Ave, Los Angeles, at the “official album release party” on November 19. From 1-5 pm (PT), attendees can anticipate partaking in four exciting activities to collect digital cards, interact with cosplay actors, and win a free flash tattoo. Plus, the opportunity to meet Aoki, access limited-edition merchandise, and redeem the first exclusive HiROQUEST promo card created by Kolex will arise.
Technicalities Behind the Quests
Kolex is central to all quests, which build a bridge between tangible and virtual collectibles. Through the digital asset platform, collectors can easily manage and swap the blockchain-based digital cards, which are individually numbered and scannable to add a layer of convenience and transparency to the ultimate collecting experience.
