Animoca Brands, The Sandbox (a subsidiary of Animoca Brands), and Smobler entered into a partnership to bring out the virtual version of Universal Peace Sanctuary. The Sandbox will host it as a Web3 game with decentralization and a robust metaverse architecture. Needless to say, it is a digital counterpart of its physical version with a similar aim to promote peace and harmony in the world. The virtual experience of Universal Peace Sanctuary is already live, and players of all ages are welcome to participate. It further eliminates any criteria about one’s background.
Universal Peace Sanctuary is a digital destination that promotes interactive experiences to encourage global harmony. It aligns with the philosophies of H. Em. Rinpoche.
Rinpoche is of the opinion that peace should be regarded as more fashionable than conflict. He believes that the true source of peace in the world is unconditional love, and he supports it by constructing temples from where one can derive tolerance and peace. Rinpoche further stated that people from all walks of life can join Universal Peace Sanctuary. It has been constructed as a neutral digital space that facilitates the retreat from the ongoing conflicts and environmental degradation.
Not just players, but, as Universal Peace Sanctuary explains, world leaders and diplomats can also be part of the digital destination.
Universal Peace Sanctuary honors Queen Mayadevi, who is associated with exemplifying unconditional love and selflessness. She was Siddartha Gautam Buddha’s birth mother. The Universal Peace Sanctuary further honors all of the mothers who dedicated themselves to making the world peaceful.
Yat Siu, the Executive Chairman of Animoca Brands, expressed excitement about working with Smobler and His Eminence Rinpoche. Yat asserted that the project aims to foster inclusivity and harmony, not only in the virtual realm but also in the physical world. It does leverage the concept of Web3 in the virtual realm but remains dedicated to the true ideologies of peace, tolerance, and understanding.
Smobler’s CEO, Loretta Chen, recalled her time spent working with the Bhutan-Verse on behalf of the Kingdom of Bhutan. It helped them gain sufficient knowledge to efficiently architect the space in The Sandbox. Chen expressed confidence in the project by saying that it will offer a unique blend of education, serenity, wellness, and purpose-fueled adventure.
Sebastien Borget, the Chief Operating Officer of The Sandbox, is hopeful about players discovering new cultures and interacting with others to learn something new. The end goal is to embrace the global message of peace.
