The Tribeca Film Festival is shaking up the industry by selling VIP passes as non-fungible tokens. For this year’s event, it has partnered with crypto exchange, OKX, for the innovative offering to movie-goers.
Backed by Ethereum, these tokens will give holders exclusive invitations to events hosted by co-founders Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro, as well as early screenings of films featured in the festival! An astounding movie themed event that will take place on June 7-18.
The NFTs themselves feature designs inspired by the landscapes of Lower Manhattan, making them incredibly unique for anyone planning to attend. As such, VIP NFT passes, priced at $899 per pass, are available on the Tribeca website using a credit card. However, interested movie buffs can also pay for it in ETH as a discounted rate via the OKX exchange.
