Practically Ton network became the top crypto blockchain network to provide highest scaled transactions per second.
Ton blockchain or say The Open Network (Ton) is currently the top trend among crypto traders, thanks to the Ton’s unique code technology that helps the network process the crypto transactions with very high speed. In the initial phase, this blockchain was launched under the leadership of Dr. Nikolai Durov and the popular messaging platform Telegram but later due to legal issues Telegram opened the Ton blockchain ecosystem to evolve independently.
On 6 Nov 2023, On chain records showed that Ton blockchain successfully executed 107 million transactions in only 25 minutes. That means, the network processed 104,715 transactions per second (TPS).
Before this crypto industry was aware of the scalability potential of Solana blockchain, a Proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus-based crypto network that provides high-speed transactions at very low fees with the help of Proof-of-history (PoH) protocol.
Practical tests showed that Solana can process 47,370 transactions per second and hypothetically it can reach up to 65,000 which is itself a very big number for the Solana network over the crypto network, until before.
This latest performance shown by the Ton network confirmed that Solana is no longer a top scalable network.
Experts noted that Telegram has a very big user base and if it wants to bring better use of crypto-related services for the customers then it needs to make crypto transactions faster just like sending messages.
This is really good news that Ton network can process high numbers of transactions, as Telegram currently has more than 800 million users globally.
Solana & bug
Between Dec 2021 to the date, the Solana network faced several bug issues. Two times, Solana’s mainnet went offline for more than 24 hours.
Because of the bug issues in the Solana smart contract, Solana’s native coin Sol faced a huge downfall.
Now it will be interesting to see whether Ton will also go through such issues or will succeed as the best crypto network forever.
