Elon Musk has announced Linda Yaccarino as the new chief executive officer of Twitter.
In a May 12 tweet, Musk said Yaccarino would focus primarily on the social media platform’s business operations while he focuses on product design and new technology.
Musk also said:
“Looking forward to working with Linda to transform this platform into X, the everything app.”
CryptoSlate previously reported that Musk had hinted that Twitter’s new CEO was a woman, leading to speculations that the most likely candidate was former Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg.
Meanwhile, Yaccarino was linked to the role after news emerged that she resigned as NBC’s head of global advertising earlier today.
