What is ChronoForge? The Next Big Web3 Action RPG

ChronoForge is a multiplayer action RPG developed by Minted Loot Studios, combining fast-paced combat and base-building with optional web3 elements.

The game is designed to be playable with or without NFTs and cryptocurrency, providing flexibility for different types of players. It features randomized dungeons, where players engage in real-time combat, collect loot, and craft items.

Additionally, the game allows those who choose to mint in-game items, such as characters and gear, into carbon-neutral NFTs on Immutable X—an Ethereum Layer-2 protocol.

Gameplay Mechanics

ChronoForge offers a mix of combat, crafting, and base-building. Players participate in real-time, hack-and-slash combat in procedurally generated dungeons, where traps, enemies, and environments change with each run.

The game emphasizes teamwork, with different character classes—such as tanks, healers, damage dealers and more—working together to overcome increasingly difficult challenges. Outside of dungeons, players engage in base-building through Trading Companies, which serve as crafting hubs. These player-driven companies allow for resource gathering, crafting, and upgrading items.

Additionally, players can take part in politics through governance systems, influencing decisions that affect the overall in-game world and economy.

Economy and NFTs

ChronoForge integrates NFTs into its economy, allowing players to mint characters, gear, and other assets as NFTs, but this feature is optional.

Players can enjoy the full game without using NFTs or cryptocurrency. However, those who opt into the web3 aspects can mint NFTs using the game’s $RIFT utility token, which is required to mint any in-game assets.

The NFTs are carbon-neutral, being minted on the Immutable X blockchain, and include items like Genesis Adventurer NFTs, Support Airships, and Prospecting Deeds. These NFTs can be traded on the Immutable X marketplace or OpenSea and play a significant role in the in-game economy.
